The following list provides the links to the subState areas within each State. These subState areas may be regions, counties, or other geographic areas that each State has identified as their State treatment planning areas, that is, areas for the purpose of allocating the substance abuse treatment block grant funds from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).  SAMHSA's OAS presents estimates of substance use for each of these State's treatment planning areas.  Within each reporting period:  refer to the definition to find how the States defined their treatment planning areas for that time period (with both a map and a list of the counties or other areas within each State treatment planning area) and refer to the data for data tables and maps.
