Figure 4.2 is a bar chart that indicates the percent distributions of the number of outpatient treatment visits in the past year by location of treatment. The chart shows that among adults who were treated at an outpatient mental health center, 12.7 percent had 1 visit, 52.5 percent had 2-10 visits, 24.4 percent had 11-25 visits, and 10.4 percent had 26 or more visits. Among adults who had outpatient treatment in a doctor's office, 30.0 percent had 1 visit, 62.3 percent had 2-10 visits, 6.2 percent had 11-25 visits, and 1.5 percent had 26 or more visits. Among adults treated in a private therapist's office, 7.3 percent had 1 visit, 59.1 percent had 2-10 visits, 24.0 percent had 11-25 visits, and 9.7 percent had 26 or more visits in the past year.
