Figure 3.2 is a Venn diagram indicating the estimated numbers and percentages of overlap in types of mental health treatment received by adults in the past year. The diagram shows that 4,015 adults (19.0%) received outpatient treatment only, 30 adults (1.8%) received inpatient treatment only, 131 adults (0.6%) received both inpatient and outpatient treatment, 8,609 adults (40.8%) received medication only, 179 adults (0.8%) received both medication and inpatient treatment, 6,991 adults (33.1%) received both outpatient and medication treatment, and 788 adults (3.7%) received inpatient and outpatient and medication treatment in the past year.
