Chapter 2's Figure 10 is a stacked cluster bar chart on the overlap between nonalcoholic psychoactive drug use and alcohol use reported by persons admitted to publicly funded treatment programs. Using data from the 1997 Treatment Episode Data Set (TEDS), the chart highlights the increase in reported use of alcohol only from age 15 to age 70. After age 70, there was a continual increase in the use of alcohol with another drug.
