Appendix C, Equations 6-7
Two suppression rules are shown. The first indicates suppressions occurred when the relative standard error of the negative of the natural logarithm of estimated proportion, p hat, was greater than 0.175 and the estimated proportion, p hat, was less than or equal to 0.5. The second indicates suppressions also occurred when the relative standard error of the negative of the natural logarithm of 1 minus p hat was greater than 0.175 and the estimated proportion, p hat, was greater than 0.5.
